Olympic Heights Girls Soccer Earns Prestigious Team Pinnacle Award for Fourth Consecutive Year

BOCA RATON, Fla. (Oct. 21, 2025) — The Olympic Heights Community High School Girls Soccer Program has once again earned national recognition from the United Soccer Coaches Association, receiving the 2024–25 Team Pinnacle Award for the fourth consecutive year.

This prestigious honor is awarded to programs that demonstrate excellence in academics, ethics, and on-field performance — representing the highest standards in interscholastic soccer. Olympic Heights joins an elite group of just 77 high school and college programs nationwide to earn this year’s designation, and one of only a handful of Florida programs recognized.

To qualify for the Team Pinnacle Award, a team must:

• Receive a United Soccer Coaches Team Ethics and Sportsmanship Award (Platinum, Gold, Silver, or Bronze),

• Earn the Team Academic Award for excellence in the classroom, and

• Record a winning percentage of .750 or higher during the season.

“Earning this honor once is special, earning it four years in a row is a reflection of the culture we’ve built,” said Head Coach Jim Cappello. “Our players take pride in representing Olympic Heights both on and off the field. Their effort in the classroom, their sportsmanship, and their drive to compete at a high level make this award truly meaningful.”

The Lions have become one of Florida’s model programs, consistently finishing among the state’s top academic soccer teams while maintaining success on the pitch. Over the past four years, Olympic Heights Girls Soccer has posted some of the highest GPAs in the state, earned multiple academic awards, and represented Palm Beach County with class and pride.

“This award belongs to our student-athletes, their families, and our coaching staff,” Cappello added. “It’s a team achievement in every sense.”

The Team Pinnacle Award, now in its seventh year, celebrates programs that embody the mission of United Soccer Coaches — promoting the combination of sportsmanship, scholarship, and athletic achievement.
